The lithotriptic theory of squeezing mechanism with binary fragmentation(wide focus and low pressure):
W. Eisenmenger,a professor of the 1st Physical Institute of the University of Stuttgart ,is the inventor of the electromagnetic wave sourse.After years of research,he has found that stones were often broken into two parts first when the diameter of focal zone is greater than stones.The plane of fragmentation parrellel or perpendicular to the propagation of wave is observed due to circumferential pressure in the stone ,it causes an evanescent pressure zone in the stone resulting in tensile stress in planes.Under the stroke of wave again and again,the stone was broken into two,then four,then eight...the number increased at the geometrical rate.
The conditions to fragmentation which called wide focus and low pressure are: maximum pluse positive pressure at the focal zone:10—25MPa;negative pressure:＜5 MPa;focus dimension:radial≤±10mm ,pulse width 1—2μS.The wide focus and low pressure enhanced the hit rate and energy, while improving the breakage efficiency .It made the treatment safer and more effective through reducing the harm to human body by negative pressure.
Shock Wave Source
When a particularly strong pulse current flows through the dish-like coil, a reverse current was induced in the neighboring metal film. The two currents form a mutually exclusive magnetic field, producing a shift in the metal film to drive out a shock wave.Through a special channel the shock waves focus automatically without lens.Carefully calculating and designing dishlike coil,the properties of metal film and focusing channel ensure that the shock wave system is efficient. With 145mm of treatment distance , the obese petients can be treated without using sandbag to press the patient's body.
